Black galaxy Granite

Black galaxy- By far the world's most famous material by value and demand. It is produced in the quarries of Chimmakuthy in Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh. there are about 40 quarries located in this tiny town near Ongole in South India.

It is also widely Known as Golden galaxy , Gold Black granite, or Plainly as Galaxy Granite. There are three types of Grains in Galaxy namely Bold, Medium and small. Most popular is the Medium Galaxy.

Same size material differ in prices from supplier to supplier. main reason is the huge variation in the quality of the slabs available. many slabs are often found with one or more Pencil lines. The price is mainly fixed depending on how bad or Good the line is placed on the slabs. The slabs which does not have any lines or other blemishes command big premium.

Some quarries are really Big, producing 2000 CBM per month,,,,,,,among the biggest in the world. some other just produce about 100 CBM /month. There are also 400 + factories operating in around this town to produce slabs and tiles of this material.

The best feature of this material is It's unique appearance. Metallic bronze or Gold spots densely spread across a uniform black background. It may be possible to replicate any granite on synthetic surfaces using DHDP technology  or by synthetic matrixing as in the case of Engineered stones. But Materials like Black galaxy could never be produced because of the metallic fore ground (Bronzites).

There can be no better substitute or alternative to this beautiful material. This is also has got another distinction. It is the largest exported granite variety from India in terms of value ( On volume terms, I think Tan brown is the leader)
